Under 12's Tumut Gala Day by coach Chris Dunn

The final round of the competition saw the under 12's make the long trip to Tumut. First game against first placed Temora had every one seeing double (especially Blake McDonald) as the team went out to a 12 to 0 lead, the exact same scoreline as the last game against Temora when the game was ended early due to an injury to Blake. The officials awarded the victory to the phantoms even though the game was shortened. Blake was controlling the game nicely before his injury, Tom Scott played a big game with the ball in hand and Nick Manwaring was everywhere in defence as well as finishing off some great backline moves. Second game saw the team taking on a depleted Griffith side and in the true spirit of rugby plenty put their hands up to have a run for the Blacks to ensure a competitive game. Beniel was great with the ball in hand and Nick Croucamp topped off the day with a length of the field try. Callum was a tower of strength in the set pieces winning plenty of tight heads come scrum time and plenty of turn overs at the breakdown. The 2 victories saw the team leapfrog Temora and finish as minor premiers, a fantastic result and one that all players should be proud of.
